Weekly Inspiration - Jan Groover
Jan Groover (April 24, 1943 – January 1, 2012) began her career as a painter but quickly moved into photography. Groover caused a sensation in 1978 after exhibiting a series of dramatic still-life photographs of objects in found in her kitchen sink.

Hailing from Johannesburg South Africa, Elsa Bleda is the surreal night time photography we always wanted. Her colour work sometimes hurts our brains, but that's the glory of it. Its neon, surreal and hauntingly beautiful. It's a perfect example of breaking the digital rules as a stylistic choice done right. Frankly, we are here for it.

Moody, whimsical and sometimes a little creepy, Silvia Grav's work is enough to make our hearts sigh this week. Our inspirational photographer this week, Sam Wordley could tell you a thing or two about what the real world of stock photography entails. Sam is an Australian photographer currently residing in Madrid, who has taken on photographic work all over the world. He's worked for some of the most famous newspapers including The Sun, The London Times and New York Post.

It was photographed at the recent impeachment hearing of Donald Trump, surrounded by the fanciest digital cameras in the business, David Burnett is seen here with his trusty large format camera. This Week's Inspiration Micky Hoogendijk
This week's inspiration is the multi-skilled Micky Hoogendijk (pronounced ɦoːɣəndɛik). Hoogendijk was raised in the art scene in the Netherlands, her father a photographer and painter Roelof Frankot. Her career has taken many paths, most notably acting and modelling.

Largely celebrated as the biggest independent video game ever published, Minecraft is instantly recognisable for its blocky graphics and creative gameplay. Upon looking through our calendar today, we discovered that it was the birthday of Dorothea Lange. Most famous for her photograph Migrant Mother, Dorothea was a photojournalist commissioned by government organisations often shooting for political reasons. She documented the effects of the depression era on America and gave a human face to the struggle.
