Aaron Blake
Manager - Resources and Student Services

Aaron first studied photography and developed a love for the medium in High School. He completed his Certificate IV in and Diploma of Photoimaging at The Centre for Creative Photography. He first became a member of the CCP staff assisting lecturers in classes ranging from Introduction to Photography to more advanced studio and darkroom based classes. Although he spends most of his time in the office now, his skills as a studio/darkroom assistant still come in handy for students – especially near assessment time!

Aaron’s interest in photography is more to the conceptual side, investigating the constructed ‘reality’ that the medium presents. He looks at ideas of appropriation, recontextualisation of popular and obscure imagery, dreams and memories. His work utilizes numerous traditional and unusual techniques, ranging from black-and-white darkroom prints to multilayered digital images to collage to photocopies.
