Girl Spaces exist within both abstract and defined terms. They are places in which women can gather – or maybe escape alone to – and be safe and welcome.

As a woman, you may have many or maybe just one space you identify as your ‘Girl Space’. This Girl Space is one that celebrates art and it’s makers. Girl Space is an all female art collective that is inclusive and welcoming to all young female artists while showcasing the best that these artists have to offer. The artists in this exhibition would like to extend a warm welcome into their personal Girl Spaces and show you why female empowerment and inclusion is so important.

The Mill is excited to be presenting Girl Space as part of FRAN FEST.

Girl Space - the exhibition - is curated by Laura Gentgall and features work by Antonia Ditroia, Brianna Speight, Jess Zeng (aka Ban-She), Ellie Anderson, Indigo Cherry, Ria Roma Sharma and Sascha Ta.

Girl Space opens on September 8, 6:00pm at The Mill Adelaide.
