One of our favourite memes, Ryan Gosling, is a photographer (or not...)

So today is Ryan Goslings birthday. Gosling is best known for his role in many Hollywood movies such as La La Land and well-known internet meme "Hey Girl"

So what the heck has Ryan Gosling got to do with photography you ask?

Quoted as saying:
"I'm not a photographer. I didn't go [to Congo] with the intention of taking pictures for the book. I didn't know what I was taking pictures of and why, but I thought they would be useful at some point." Ryan Gosling

And useful they were, his photos were used in the book Congo Stories. A book that focuses on European and American exploitation of people and resources from Congo.
