Imagine you are running your own photography business. Learn the ins and outs of creating a consistent style of images in Photoshop and Lightroom to give your work a distinctive look to set you aside from the competition. Then get to know software like ProSelect, Smart Albums and Pixieset to make your clients want to engage with your work and love what you do.
This course is scheduled once every two years
>Class Prerequisites
Introduction to Photography or equivalent skill level.
Before you enrol, please be aware of the following:
All students must attend a minimum of 7 out of the 9 classes each term in order to receive a pass. If this is not possible, you will need to discuss this with your lecturer or the admin team.
You can request an extension from your lecturer for the final assessment, however, the maximum extension is two weeks. If you are unable to hand in your work by this time you will need to resit the class. If it is due to extenuating circumstances, please discuss this with your lecturer.
If your circumstances change and it is no longer possible for you to study, you have until Week 5 of term to defer your course to a following term within the next year. However refunds cannot be issued, and students are liable for all tuition fees as of the Term Census Date, which is the last Friday of the previous term. Fees paid are rolled over to the returning term. Withdrawals prior to the Term Census Date will forfeit the 20% non-refundable deposit paid.

Duration
Nine weeks, one class per week, three hours per class. Students should expect to do approximately an extra six hours per week of their own work.

Additional Information
By the end of this course our aim is to give you a taste of what it will be like working on your own photos for a client. Focusing more on mass producing lots of images in a consistent style this course shows you how to make beautiful work quickly and easily, then display that hard earned art in a stunning digital album or photo book.
This course is a core component of the Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging ONLINE and replaces Introduction to the Darkroom as a subject. That means if you want to get a Certificate online you must study this course. Face-to-face learners may choose between this course and Introduction to the Darkroom.
