This one-day workshop presents an introduction to DSLR cameras and image capture. If you are new to digital photography and want a thorough introduction to working with digital cameras, this course is perfect for you.

Required Materials

Please bring a notebook and pen, your lunch and your camera and your camera manual. All other notes will be provided.

Additional Information

The workshop will cover basic image capture, aperture/shutter speed priorities, creative exposure controls, lenses for digital capture, comparative field of view, depth of field, resolution, tone and contrast controls, ISO settings, white balance, JPEG, TIFF and Camera Raw formats. It will also cover exposures, shutter effects, the art of seeing photographically and basic image processing.
Detailed class notes are provided.
If you are enrolling with another person, it is not essential for each participant to own a Digital SLR camera; you will be able to manage by sharing a camera.
