Our online accredited courses allow you to undertake our Certificate IV and Diploma Program. Or you can just study the subjects that you’d like to do, without having to take the entire course.
Our classes are perfect for beginners looking for a deeper understanding of photographic skills, those who are unsure if they want to take the full Certificate IV yet, or anyone wanting to hone their craft. Study as you would in a normal face to face class, meet with your lecturer once a week for nine weeks via Zoom, with all of your recorded lectures and class materials stored in your Google Classroom when you study any of our nine week accredited courses.

This course will give you a solid grounding in digital imaging concepts such as bit depth, file systems, colour spaces, and digital manipulation processes including curves, levels, and layers, Photoshop, Lightroom and Digital Asset Management.
This is an excellent all-round introduction course into editing and sorting your images.

Take your Photoshop skills from beginner to professional. From portrait retouching, complicated deep etching and digital image manipulation and printing your images to perfection
This course is scheduled twice a year.

Imagine you are running your own photography business. Learn the ins and outs of creating a consistent style of images in Photoshop and Lightroom to give your work a distinctive look and set you aside from the competition. You will get to know software like ProSelect, Smart Albums and Pixieset; these skill will make your clients want to engage with your work and love what you do.

This is the ultimate Introduction to Photography course for beginners. Learn from real life professional photographers in this hands-on fundamentals of Digital SLR and Mirrorless camera course.
Competencies covered:

CUAPPR403 - Store and maintain finished creative work (30 nominal hours)
Class prerequisites: there are no formal prerequisites, but students should have a basic level of computer literacy.

Become a composition badass. It’s that simple. Unpack all of the elements that make for bold, visually engaging photographs that stop people in their tracks. This course is scheduled twice per year.

CUAACD411 - Integrate colour theory and design processes (40 nominal hours)
Class Prerequisites: Introduction to Photography or equivalent DSLR/Mirrorless skills.
Suggested/Optional Prerequisites: You don’t have to have completed Digital Imaging 1, Camera Portfolio 1, and Camera Portfolio 2 to undertake Photographic Design, however some of the skills covered in them can be helpful for this course.

What do you want to say with your photographs? Why make a particular artwork using photography instead of another medium? Explore the qualities of photography that make it a unique form of artistic expression, and learn to work by starting with a concept, then making images to illustrate it.

Class Prerequisites: Introduction to Photography & Camera Portfolio 1.
Suggested/Optional Prerequisites: You don’t have to have completed these courses to undertake Concepts 1. Though some of the skills contained in them can come in handy. Camera Portfolio 2, Introduction to Studio, Photographic Design, Digital Imaging 1.

This course runs twice per year

CUAIND411 - Extend expertise in specialist creative fields (45 nominal hours)
CUAACD534 - Research and apply light and colour (55 nominal hours)
Class Prerequisites: Introduction to Studio or relevant studio experience.
Mixed delivery
This course runs over Term 4 2025 and Term 1 2026. Students are required to enrol in and complete both terms to gain this qualification.
In this course you will contribute to organising a group exhibition from start to finish, complete with sponsorships, gallery space, budgeting and print finishing and production of a catalogue with artists’ statements. Please note that this course involves viewing potential gallery locations and attending the chosen gallery space to install your work, as well as sitting at the gallery on a roster while the exhibition is open.
This course runs once every two years
Class Prerequisites: Certificate IV in Photography and Digital Imaging or a portfolio entry is required.

Business 101 is an introduction to the day to day running your photographic business and planning your new venture!

Class Prerequisites: There are no specific prerequisites for this class, but it is recommended that students enrol in this subject towards the end of their Certificate IV, or as part of your Diploma.
